|Toenail Clinics McLeod County
The McLeod County Public Health Nursing Service offers toenail clinics for residents of McLeod County, age 55 and older, or under age 55 with a handicapping condition. Meets the third Tuesday of the month, 1-3 pm at Linden Wood Apartments, 215 Linden Avenue West, Winsted, MN. The fee is $25, payable at the time of service. A sign-up sheet is available at Linden Wood Apts. call 320-485-4303 to set up an appointment. The focus of the clinic will be toenail care. No other health screenings will be conducted at the nail clinic. The goal to assist ambulatory/mobile seniors to attain and maintain optimal health and independence through regular assessment and maintenance of toenail/foot care. The 60+ and Healthy Clinics provided by Wright County Public Health provides foot care for the senior citizens of Wright County. We trim toenails to meet the needs of those seniors who have a health condition such as diabetes or are unable to trim toenails themselves. We will check blood pressures if needed and as time allows. The 60+ and Healthy Clinics charge a $15 fee for foot care services. This fee is necessary because our clinics are no longer being funded by grant money. However, if you are unable to pay the $15 fee, you will not be turned away from our clinic.
