Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Schools are a place where every student belongs and thrives.

Elementary school classroom

Our district is committed to creating opportunities for all students through relationships, collaboration, and empowerment.

We are here for every Laker, every day.

HLWW offers strong academics, creative learning opportunities, award-winning programs and support that prepare students for "what's next". This includes our nationally recognized Agricultural Program and FFA.

Small class sizes and dedicated staff mean your child is known, supported, and encouraged every day, and creative learning opportunities such as field trips and experiential learning help students connect with learning and one another.

At Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Whether it’s on the field, on the stage, or in a club, students at HLWW find their people. Activities create meaningful connections, lasting friendships, and a strong sense of belonging that helps students thrive.

At Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted School District, our schools and communities grow stronger together. What happens in our classrooms, on our fields, and on our stages doesn’t stay there—it becomes part of the fabric of our communities. From packed stands on Friday nights to full auditoriums for concerts and performances, our community is there—creating a shared sense of Laker Pride. And through service projects and local partnerships, students build meaningful connections while making a real impact in the places they call home.
