Education, Recreation, Activities and Special Events for Birth-5, Youth K-12 and Adults. The Community Education office located in the Middle School in Howard Lake. Use east entrance door A.  The Summer 2013 brochure will be available May 6. Watch for it in your mailbox.

How will I get my Community Education Brochure?

The Community Education brochure will be inserted in the Herald-Journal and the Shopper. For those who do no receive either of those publications in the communities of Howard Lake, Waverly and Winsted it will also be sent postal patron. The Community Education Brochure can also be pick up in the Community Education office, District Business office, Middle School office, High School office or either one of the Elementary School offices. Extra copies are also distributed to area businesses and local libraries.

Community Education Instructors Wanted

You can make a difference as a Community Education instructor. Community Education is looking for instructors to teach classes in computer, technology, various hobbies, skills, arts, and crafts. For more information, or if you have a suggestion for a class not listed, call 320-543-3600

HLWW Adult Volunteer Program

The Adult Volunteer program at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted schools over it’s years of operation has been fortunate to have volunteers who have given their time to our students and staff. Volunteers have been parents as well as community members who knew how important it is to support the schools and wanted to show the students and staff how they feel. We are so appreciative of all our volunteers. We were also grateful that we could have a Foster Grandparent at Humphrey Elementary in Waverly. She has been very valuable to our students.
